ZVL SERIES OF ZERO-VOLT PROGRAMMABLE LOADS
AMREL’s ZVL Series of Zero-volt dc Electronic eLoads are
specifically designed for single cell fuel cell testing,
ultra-low voltage battery testing, and 0-volt load
applications. The ZVL zero-volt load offers the industry’s
highest current rating for “0-Volt” operation. Custom-tailored
voltage and current ratings make ZVL zero-volt loads perfect for
many diverse applications. All this in a compact
fully-integrated, rackmount-ready package!
Traditional dc Electronic Load Solutions have inherent
limitations for testing single cell fuel cells and PV cells/modules.
Electronic loads use power-dissipating components that require a
minimum compliance voltage of 0.6Vdc ~ 1.5Vdc for operation.
However, single cell fuel cell and PV cells often require the dc
electronic load to operate at below 0.1Vdc. To meet single
cell fuel testing and PV cell testing requirements, most electronic
loads require an external booster supply. Not the case with AMREL’s
ZVL zero-volt loads, which are manufactured with built-in
booster supplies. Choosing AMREL’s zero-volt load will substantially
reduce the cost and space associated with external boosters.
